GigaOm's comparative analysis of network security providers highlights NetWitness's superior performance across several key criteria. These include historical forensics, managed NDR, alarm fidelity and self-tuning, data enrichment, collaboration and case management, automation, and convergence. Notably, NetWitness is commended for its extensive network visibility capabilities due to its full packet capture and detection feature.

The cyber defence company has also impressed in the area of SIEM features, with the maturity of its product and focussed development of its SIEM platform over the past 15 years catching GigaOm's attention.
