Snom launches D895M flagship desk phone for offices

Thu, 11th Jun 2026 (Today)

Snom has launched the D895M, a new flagship desk phone in its D8xx series, expanding its range of business IP telephony devices.

Aimed at offices, executive rooms and reception areas, the handset features an 8-inch colour touchscreen and an integrated DECT handset. It is designed for organisations seeking a secure, easy-to-use communications device that fits into existing corporate networks.

Product details

The D895M has a high-resolution display that shows contacts, lines and call functions on a single screen. Its touchscreen interface is designed to reduce the steps needed for routine tasks such as transferring calls, managing contacts and accessing line information.

One of the device's more distinctive features is its built-in DECT handset. This lets users move around a room while on a call without relying on a corded handset, which may appeal to reception desks, meeting rooms and other workspaces where staff need to step away from their desk during conversations.

The phone also includes HD audio, an extended frequency range and echo cancellation to improve voice clarity in busy office settings. It supports an electronic hook switch and is built with robust hardware for long-term use.

Hybrid working

The launch comes as manufacturers of office communications equipment continue adapting products for hybrid working arrangements and mixed IT environments. Against that backdrop, Snom is positioning the D895M as a desk phone that connects to both wired and wireless networks while supporting different headset and software setups.

The model supports Gigabit Ethernet and Wi-Fi, and includes USB ports for headsets and accessories. It is compatible with a range of IP-PBX and unified communications systems, making it suitable for businesses that need desk phones to work alongside broader software-based calling platforms.

Security is also part of the pitch. The device includes encrypted data transmission, regular firmware updates and support intended to help customers meet internal security and compliance requirements.

Expansion option

Snom is also offering the D895M with support for up to three D8C expansion modules. Connected via USB, these modules add extra function keys and display space for users handling large numbers of calls.

According to Snom, each setup can provide access to as many as 60 functions across multiple pages. That configuration is aimed at reception areas, secretarial roles and other call-handling environments where users need a quick view of extensions and call controls.

Design focus

The business phone market remains mature, but suppliers continue to seek differentiation through design, interoperability and administrative control. Snom is placing particular emphasis on the product's development in Germany, as well as its data protection features and long-term maintenance.

The D895M uses energy-efficient technology, supports Power over Ethernet and is designed with durable components and long-term spare-parts availability. These factors are intended to help customers extend device lifecycles and manage infrastructure costs over time.

Snom also presents the device as a manageable endpoint for IT departments that can be integrated into existing systems without adding unnecessary complexity. The focus is on reliability, maintainability and control over communications infrastructure.

Fabio Albanini, Senior VP Sales & Operations, outlined the company's positioning for the new model.

"With the D895M, we are completing our D8xx series and providing an IP endpoint that perfectly combines design, performance and user comfort," said Albanini. "With the large-format touchscreen, the DECT handset and a wide range of connectivity options, we can meet all the demands of flexible, secure, and future-proof business communication. This is exactly what we at Snom mean by premium quality - engineered in Germany."

The D895M is available through specialist retailers and comes with a three-year manufacturer's warranty.
