Secuvy launches advanced features to boost data security

Thu, 24th Oct 2024

Secuvy has introduced a range of new features to bolster data security, mitigate insider threats, and enhance privacy operations.

The newly announced features aim to advance the company's existing compliance, risk management, data leakage prevention, and secure collaboration capabilities. These tools are designed to assist organisations in safeguarding their critical data assets more effectively.

The enhancements introduced by Secuvy consist of advanced integrations and a policy-based engine that supply actionable insights, which automate responses to some of the most significant security and compliance challenges faced today.

One of the key features, Observability Classification, allows organisations to create a baseline of classification patterns and automate the setup of labelling configurations. The feature provides insights into data types, policy conventions, and user behaviours. This allows teams to define more effective classification rules through integration with platforms such as DLP, SASE, IAM, and CASB. Doing so ensures labelling becomes a primary defence against data breaches and insider threats.

The Risk Assessment with Remediation feature enables organisations to schedule automated scans to detect sensitive data misclassifications, elevating their security risk profile. Automated remediation capabilities aim to minimise potential costs tied to unresolved risks. It allows security and governance teams to visualise the impact of these risks and make necessary adjustments to security controls.

Secuvy's integration with Netskope is intended to improve the accuracy of DLP and CASB policies. By comparing CASB alerts and acting on false positives and negatives, Secuvy enhances the effectiveness of cloud security measures. This feature allows for policy updates based on sensitivity classification and the enforcement of suitable actions for misclassified documents.

Additionally, the Secuvy-DRM Integration for Secure Collaboration provides secure collaboration via policy-based file encryption. This integration enables the detection of highly sensitive documents and works with DRM platforms to encrypt and safeguard sensitive data, aiming to prevent data leaks during collaborations with external partners.

Another feature, Privacy Risk Threshold Review with DPIA/PIA Delegation, seeks to streamline privacy operations by automating DPIA and PIA workflows. This solution includes customisable surveys, case management, and task delegation, which aim to simplify compliance efforts and help organisations manage privacy risks effectively. It also reduces manual tasks for Data Protection Officers (DPOs) by automating ROPA activities and producing reports based on system scans instead of manual inputs.

Mike Seashols, Chief Executive Officer of Secuvy, stated, "These new AI driven features are 'game changers' and are redefining the ability to automate data protection. By integrating advanced automation and AI-driven insights, we are empowering organisations to safeguard their data with greater precision and ease."
