SandboxAQ joins UN AI Hub to enhance AI security solutions
SandboxAQ has officially become a founding member of the newly launched AI Hub of the United Nations International Computing Centre (UNICC), aiming to become the leading AI solutions provider for UN entities and global organisations.
The UNICC is known to be the United Nations system's largest strategic partner for digital and cybersecurity solutions. It will now utilise SandboxAQ's AQtive Guard encryption management platform to offer AI-driven cryptographic discovery services. This development seeks to identify vulnerable cryptography, such as outdated algorithms, keys, and certificates, across an organisation's IT infrastructure, including applications, networks, and filesystems. The insights obtained from these services will help constituents and partners upgrade their cryptography to counter future threats like AI- and quantum-based attacks.
"Over the last five decades, UNICC has continually expanded the diverse technology services designed for the UN family, including fostering strategic partnerships with trusted partners like SandboxAQ to develop state-of-the-art solutions," stated Sameer Chauhan, Director, UNICC. "Leveraging SandboxAQ's innovative quantum, AI and cybersecurity solutions, we're pleased to welcome them as a founding member of the UNICC AI Hub and share their expertise with our partners."
The new UNICC AI Hub is set to be a centre of excellence for AI deployment within the UN and other international organisations. It will bring together top experts, partners, and solutions to assist in accelerating positive global impact. The AI Hub will offer training and expertise in predictive, generative, and quantitative AI solutions tailored to UN needs, ensuring compliance, data integrity, and model performance.
Members like SandboxAQ will play a crucial role in setting up and scaling AI projects under the AI Hub, which will also ensure ethical compliance and deliver measurable results. The organisation will work alongside the UNICC to introduce additional quantitative AI solutions powered by Large Quantitative Models (LQMs). These will contribute to breakthroughs in fields like complex system modelling, post-quantum cryptography, and predictive analysis, with the overarching theme of supporting the Sustainable Development Goals. Such goals focus on areas including clean water, good health and wellbeing, climate action, and affordable clean energy.
"As AI continues to fundamentally transform all aspects of our daily lives and the global digital economy, we applaud the UNICC's bold step to create a one-stop shop where all UN agencies and affiliates can find the AI expertise, resources and solutions they need to protect themselves from cyber attacks and affect positive change on a global scale," commented Stefan Leichenauer, VP Engineering of SandboxAQ. "SandboxAQ is incredibly proud to be a founding member of the UNICC's AI Hub, and we look forward to helping its members tackle some of society's biggest challenges."
