Dynatrace joins Microsoft security group to enhance cloud safety

Today

Dynatrace has announced its membership in the Microsoft Intelligent Security Association to enhance cloud security for customers through collaboration with Microsoft and other association members.

The Microsoft Intelligent Security Association (MISA) is a collaborative ecosystem comprising independent software vendors (ISVs) and managed security service providers (MSSPs) who have integrated their solutions with Microsoft security technologies. This integration aims to bolster the defence of mutual customers against the rising tide of cyber threats. Recent research conducted by Dynatrace has revealed that nearly 72% of Chief Information Security Officers (CISOs) have encountered application security incidents within the past two years.

Dynatrace was nominated to join MISA due to its effective integration with Microsoft's Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) solution, Microsoft Sentinel. Dynatrace provides comprehensive observability and security, delivering crucial insights that simplify cloud complexities and enable organisations to proactively address emerging cyber threats. The integration with Microsoft Sentinel allows organisations to achieve a more comprehensive understanding of their security posture. With these insights, Security Operations (SecOps) teams can detect attempts on application attacks more efficiently, streamline incident management, and take proactive measures to address issues, thus maintaining secure cloud-native environments and resilient business operations.

Jay Snyder, Senior Vice President, Global Partner and Alliances at Dynatrace, remarked, "As cyber threats become increasingly sophisticated and frequent, it's imperative for organizations to proactively defend their IT environments. With Dynatrace, teams gain end-to-end observability and security across all workloads. They can automatically identify vulnerabilities, measure risks, and leverage advanced analytics and automation to mitigate issues. As a MISA member, we look forward to collaborating with Microsoft and other members to develop best practices, share insights, and drive innovation in cloud-native security. We are excited to deepen our relationship with Microsoft, reaffirming our commitment to helping organizations innovate securely."

Maria Thomson, Director of the Microsoft Intelligent Security Association, stated, "The Microsoft Intelligent Security Association has grown into a vibrant ecosystem comprised of the most reliable and trusted security software vendors across the globe. Our members, like Dynatrace, share Microsoft's commitment to collaboration within the cybersecurity community to improve our customers' ability to predict, detect, and respond to security threats faster."

MISA was set up in 2018 with the goal of bringing together Microsoft leaders, ISVs, and MSSPs to work collaboratively in tackling security threats and creating a safer environment for all. Its mission focuses on providing intelligent, leading security solutions that work in tandem to protect organisations quickly and efficiently amid an ever-expanding threat landscape.
