Dragos names Ekta Singh-Bushell as first Chief Operating Officer

Dragos has announced the appointment of Ekta Singh-Bushell as its first Chief Operating Officer (COO), with a focus on enhancing operational efficiency and customer value.

Ekta Singh-Bushell transitions to this role from her position as Chair of the Audit Committee on the Dragos Board of Directors. She brings with her an extensive background in business transformation, notably in high-growth technology sectors such as cybersecurity. At Dragos, Singh-Bushell will oversee several critical teams, including go-to-market, customer experience, and people teams, as well as collaborating company-wide in realising its strategic growth vision.

Singh-Bushell has previously held positions in some of the world's leading companies. Her experience includes a tenure as Chief Operating Officer at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York's Executive Office and over 17 years at EY, where she was involved in leading initiatives across various industries impacted by digital, technology, data, and cyber advancements. Her roles at EY included Global Information Security Officer and senior managing partner.

Her broad operating experience is illustrated by her consulting work with executives such as CEOs and CFOs, and service on boards focusing on areas such as audit, risk, technology, and cybersecurity. Her board involvement spans companies including Cisco Systems, Huron Consulting Group, Lesaka Technologies, ChargePoint, Designer Brands, and Datatec.

Internationally recognised for her commercial acumen, Singh-Bushell has been involved with firms across over 60 countries. Notably, she was nominated by Cranfield University to their 2017 Female FTSE Board Index: 100 Women to Watch, and Directors & Boards included her in their 2017 Year-End list. In 2013, she received the Catalyst: Change Agent award from the Council of Urban Professionals.

Singh-Bushell's academic credentials include a master's degree in electrical engineering and computer science from the University of California, Berkeley, and a bachelor's degree in engineering from the University of Poona, India. In addition, she holds a CPA and certifications in cybersecurity, governance, and sustainability.

This appointment comes amidst a year of significant achievements for Dragos, highlighted by the acquisition of Network Perception, creators of NP-View. It also saw the establishment of Dragos Public Sector LLC, focusing on providing tailored OT cybersecurity solutions to government clients, including US federal agencies. Dragos continued its impressive growth, securing a place on the Deloitte Technology Fast 500 for the fourth year running.
