Catalogic launches DPX vPlus 7.0 with Nutanix Ready status

Catalogic Software has announced the release of the latest version of its enterprise data protection software, Catalogic DPX.

The newest iteration, DPX vPlus 7.0, introduces major enhancements in technology integrations and user experience for modern enterprise environments. These developments are designed to bolster Catalogic's advanced data protection capabilities.

In addition to the software release, Catalogic has also revealed its entry into the Nutanix Ready Program. This programme is focused on ensuring compatibility and optimising performance with the Nutanix platform, which is used by enterprises worldwide.

The DPX vPlus 7.0 features advanced integration capabilities which now include support for Red Hat OpenShift, Proxmox with CEPH, and Canonical OpenStack. This expansion allows for a broader scope of enterprise applications and infrastructure compatibility. Users can take advantage of full and incremental backups, file-level restores, and advanced snapshot management.

The user experience has been significantly improved through a redesigned configuration wizard. This enhancement aims to facilitate a more efficient setup process, enabling users to deploy and manage their data protection strategies with ease.

Enhanced security measures are also part of the latest version, with new features such as data encryption for Microsoft 365 using the AES-256 encryption standard. This ensures that data is secured both at rest and in transit. Moreover, DPX vPlus now supports Impossible Cloud S3 storage, which offers secure and high-performance backup destinations along with improved administrative capabilities.

Recognising the importance of backup during migrations across different virtualization hypervisors, Catalogic has expanded its hypervisor support. DPX vPlus has achieved Nutanix Ready certification to facilitate smoother transitions and ensure comprehensive data protection.

The Nutanix Ready Validation confirms DPX vPlus's compatibility and optimisation with the Nutanix enterprise cloud platform. This assurance aims to provide customers with seamless integration and reliable performance within Nutanix environments.
