Vectra AI named leader in first Asia Pacific NDR Magic Quadrant

Yesterday

Vectra AI has been named a Leader in the inaugural Gartner Magic Quadrant for Network Detection and Response (NDR) for the Asia Pacific region.

The company was positioned furthest for Completeness of Vision and highest for Ability to Execute among the vendors evaluated in the 2025 report.

Vectra AI is the only vendor in this report to also be recognised as a Customer Choice Winner for NDR in the 2024 Gartner Peer Insights Voice of the Customer. As of January 2024, Vectra AI holds a rating of 4.8 out of 5 based on 96 reviews, with 96% of customers stating they would recommend the platform.

The Vectra AI Platform is designed for defending hybrid network environments against identity and network-based attacks. As organisations face increasing threats across cloud, data centre, remote, and operational technology domains, the platform aims to provide broad threat visibility to reduce the risk of attack exposure.

The platform employs AI agents to continuously triage, correlate, and prioritise actual threats in real time, aiming to eliminate alert fatigue and accelerate response for security teams. According to the company, this enables defenders to proactively detect, hunt, investigate, and respond to threats across diverse parts of their technological landscape.

Hitesh Sheth, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Vectra AI, commented on the Gartner Magic Quadrant recognition, saying, "Gartner's decision to publish a Magic Quadrant for NDR reflects just how essential this market has become in modern cyber defense. Being recognized as a Leader in this inaugural report reinforces Vectra AI's position at the forefront of this critical space. As organizations grapple with growing complexity, identity-based attacks, and AI-driven threats, the Vectra AI Platform delivers what modern defenders need – coverage that reduces exposure, clarity that cuts through the noise, and control to act with speed and confidence."

Vectra AI has also highlighted its ongoing commitment to its customer base and ongoing technology development, citing its customer feedback as a key driver for product improvement. Customer recognition in the most recent Gartner Peer Insights Voice of the Customer report underscores the company's reputation for product performance and support within the market.

The first-ever Gartner Magic Quadrant for NDR evaluates vendors in the increasingly critical space of network security, with a focus on the ability to detect and respond to advanced threats. The Quadrant placement is determined based on a combination of factors, including thought leadership, strategic vision, the ability to execute on product roadmaps, and customer satisfaction.

The assessment comes at a time when organisations across Asia Pacific are experiencing an increase in both the volume and complexity of cyber threats, particularly against hybrid environments that combine on-premises and cloud-based operations. Security teams in these organisations are reportedly seeking solutions that reduce alert fatigue, streamline response processes, and improve overall security posture without adding to existing operational burdens.

Vectra AI refers to its use of artificial intelligence and automation technology in order to address these challenges, with the company stating that its platform gives defenders "control to detect, hunt, investigate, and respond to attacks across the full threat landscape, enabling security teams to focus on maturing their security posture."

The Magic Quadrant report, which is a standard assessment tool for evaluating technology vendors across a number of industries, is utilised by IT leaders to help inform purchasing decisions related to network security technologies. The inaugural NDR Magic Quadrant report aims to shed light on a category that is seeing rapid adoption among organisations seeking to stay ahead of sophisticated cyber attackers.

Gartner clarifies that its research publications represent the opinions of its research organisation and are not endorsements of any particular vendor, product or service, and that its research should not be taken as statements of fact.
