Application relationship management company vArmour has joined the Microsoft Intelligent Security Association (MISA), it announced today.
MISA is an ecosystem of independent software vendors and managed security service providers that have integrated their solutions to better defend against a world of increasing threats. With the recent addition of MSSPs, the association has grown to more than 195 members and over 300 product integrations and managed service offers.
Armed with vArmour's solutions, the company says that Microsoft's customers can now gain more visibility over user access to critical applications. It also allows customers to reveal ‘toxic' combinations of access or discover an incident's blast radius. In addition, the company says its solutions bolster and complement existing identity and access management (IAM) offerings.

vArmour's Application Controller makes zero-trust architecture achievable for organisations through the use of application relationship management (ARM). Enterprises leverage ARM to understand every application across every environment — their relationships, dependencies, vulnerabilities, recovery time objectives and risk.
With its API-based segmentation capabilities, the Application Controller gives organisations continuous visibility into its hybrid and multi-cloud enterprise environments—along with the ability to vet and redirect third-party attacks in real time.
Earlier this year, vArmour added the Application Access - Identity Module to the Application Controller, integrating with Microsoft Azure Active Directory to support even greater control over identity and access management across the enterprise.
Microsoft Security senior product marketing manager Rani Lofstrom says Microsoft's investment into MISA has already paid dividends to customers who have faced increased cybersecurity risks and demands in the last 18 months.
