Trustwave appoints new SVP of engineering, Keith Ibarguen
Trustwave, a prominent cybersecurity and managed security services provider, has unveiled the appointment of its new senior vice president of engineering, Keith Ibarguen. In his new role, Ibarguen will supervise Trustwave's engineering product development and SpiderLabs security research. He brings to the table an extensive background in software, cybersecurity, and leadership that he plans to use to spur innovation and deliver far-reaching results for Trustwave's global clientele.

Ibarguen comes to Trustwave with over 25 years of professional experience. His most recent position was chief product officer at Cofense, where he spearheaded strategic planning, architecture, development, deployment, and security of the product suite. His time at Cofense enhanced his reputation as a leader who can master complex cybersecurity landscapes.

Prior to his tenure at Cofense, Ibarguen spent over two decades at MITRE Corporation as a chief engineer. Here, he led vital cybersecurity initiatives for various government agencies. This demonstrated his dedication to advancing the field of cybersecurity and the protection of crucial infrastructures.
Outside of his professional exploits, Ibarguen is an active participant in both industry and academic communities. He has held board member roles for the Association for Corporate Growth, chaired the Washington Technology Showcase committee, and is part of the Board of Advisors for academic programming at Tulane University's Information Technology Program. Additionally, he is actively involved in Okeanos, a venture capital investment firm with involvement in early-stage growth companies across various verticals. He also contributes his insights to The World Innovation Network, complementing their global innovation efforts.
