Tenable, the exposure management company, has launched the Tenable One for OT/IoT, an exposure management platform providing inclusive visibility across Operational Technology (OT) and Information Technology (IT) assets. This unique platform offers security leaders a thorough understanding of exposure across their complete attack surface.
Nowadays, the integration of IT and physical assets ranging from data centre HVAC systems to office building badge readers, have broadened the cyber attack surface. Often originating in IT systems and spreading into OT environments, cyber attacks can bear potentially disastrous consequences. Tenable One for OT/IoT expands visibility beyond IT to also include OT and IoT sectors, enabling organisations to prioritise security risks irrespective of where they exist—be it in the cloud, data centre or the OT environment. They can understand how these risks pave the way for attack paths across their infrastructure.

The risk posed to OT systems by nation-state cyber-attacks was recently highlighted during a U.S. Congressional hearing. In the hearing, senior representatives from the Cyber and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI), the Office of the National Cyber Director (ONCD) and the National Security Agency (NSA) testified that critical U.S. Services such as water utilities, military organisations, electricity systems etc., are actively being targeted by Chinese hacking campaigns.
The licence for Tenable One for OT/IoT also includes Tenable Security Centre and Tenable OT Security.
