Tech Data expands HCLSoftware partnership across Asia Pacific
Tech Data has extended its strategic partnership with HCLSoftware to include distribution and support across ten additional markets in Asia Pacific and Japan.
The expanded collaboration follows an existing agreement in Hong Kong and now encompasses India, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, and Thailand. According to both companies, the move is part of HCLSoftware's transition to a distributor-led model on a global basis.
Growing demand
Tech Data's increased footprint is positioned to address the rising demand for enterprise-grade software solutions throughout the region, as high-growth sectors such as digital workplace transformation, enterprise security, and AI innovation continue to mature.

The partnership aims to leverage Tech Data's in-region presence, channel relationships and technical capabilities to accelerate adoption of HCLSoftware's offerings in both established and emerging markets across Asia Pacific and Japan.
Comprehensive portfolio
Under the agreement, Tech Data will provide distribution and technical support for a range of HCLSoftware's core products. This suite includes HCL AppScan, for identifying and fixing vulnerabilities in web and mobile applications, and HCL BigFix, which focuses on simplifying endpoint management for enhanced security. Other distributed software will include HCL Commerce for eCommerce, HCL Domino for secure collaboration and workflow automation, HCL Unica for marketing automation, HCL Volt MX as a low-code development platform, and HCL Workload Automation for automating IT workflows.
Partners throughout the region will also gain access to Tech Data's local presales and technical enablement resources intended to help accelerate deployment and customer support for HCLSoftware's product suite.

According to data referenced by Tech Data, the region's software market is expected to expand at a compound annual growth rate of 14.11% and reach a value of USD $571.46 billion by 2030.

In addition to distribution, the agreement includes local presales and technical enablement support to assist channel partners in deploying and integrating HCLSoftware solutions for end customers across multiple sectors. Tech Data's regional reach is intended to help drive software adoption and provide tailored support as organisations in APJ adapt to evolving business and security requirements.
