Tanium wraps up Converge World Tour with Tokyo finale
Tanium, a leading provider of Converged Endpoint Management (XEM), will conclude its Converge World Tour this week in Tokyo. The event, which has previously made stops in New York, Washington, DC, London, Munich, and Paris, aims to provide attendees with insights into security best practices, industry trends, and future innovations from Tanium.
Among the highlights of the Tokyo event will be discussions on autonomous capabilities such as Tanium Automate, a no-code automation and orchestration workflow experience. This feature allows IT and Security teams to automate a variety of tasks, ranging from simple to complex operations. Matt Quinn, Chief Technology Officer, and Harman Kaur, VP of AI, will demonstrate this capability, which is now available in private preview for Tanium Cloud users.
Several prominent companies, including Benesse Holdings, JTB, Minebea Mitsumi, Sekisui House, and YKK AP, will share how they have leveraged Tanium's XEM platform to consolidate disparate security solutions, thereby reducing costs, risks, and organisational silos. Partners NEC and CTC will also be present to showcase their success stories.
Tanium's leadership team, including CEO Dan Streetman, CTO Matt Quinn, and CMO Steve Daheb, will be joined by other executives to provide insights into the evolving security landscape and showcase the company's latest innovations. Hidetomo Hashimoto, CDXO of Benesse Holdings, will discuss leading-edge digital transformation projects and his vision for the future of AI with Hidenori Harada, President of Tanium Japan.
A panel discussion on Japan's security situation and priorities will feature Masanori Nishi, Former Administrative Vice Minister of Defence Japan, and Kazuo Tokito, ex-Assistant Air Chief Marshal of Defence, moderated by Nikkei Shimbun reporter Atsushi Teraoka. This session aims to provide a deep dive into Japan's current and future security challenges and priorities.
Participants will also have the opportunity to engage with Tanium's Director of Endpoint Security Research, Melissa Bischoping, who will provide guidance on Tanium Guardian. Additionally, hands-on lab sessions will focus on patching, software maintenance, and unmasking vulnerabilities using Tanium solutions, including SBOM, Comply, and DEX.
The exhibition area, sponsored by partners such as NTT Communications, Macnica, Techmatrix, and NEC, will feature demonstrations of cutting-edge solutions. There will also be a special session dedicated to the next-generation automation platform enabled by Tanium IT Asset Management (ITAM) and Tanium Vulnerability Risk and Compliance (VRC) for ServiceNow.
Koji Komatsu, Asia North Technical Account Management Area Vice President, said, "At the Converge Tokyo event, we will explore how the Tanium XEM platform proactively safeguards data and assets in a dynamic cyber security environment from various angles, including the latest autonomous features." He also expressed excitement about having local customers share their experiences and the power of partnerships with ServiceNow and Microsoft to enhance the value of the XEM platform.
Recent studies have indicated that Tanium customers experience significant benefits, including a 60% increase in endpoint management efficiency and a 70% improvement in security tool consolidation, as shown in the 2024 Forrester Total Economic Impact study of Tanium XEM.
