ST Engineering unveils pioneering AI solutions at InnoTech 2024
ST Engineering showcased over 20 AI-powered solutions at the InnoTech Conference 2024 held in Singapore, focusing on expanding AI's uses for businesses and critical sectors. The conference highlighted advanced applications such as fraud and deepfake detection, guided crime analysis, real-time emergency response, and the optimisation of hospital operations and resources.
This year's theme, "AI and Beyond - Transcending Limits, Empowering Tomorrow," led the InnoTech Conference 2024, which featured two key segments: InnoTech.AI, exploring the latest AI advancements, and InnoTech.Healthcare, emphasising AI development in healthcare. The conference attracted over 2,000 participants and was attended by Singapore's Minister for Health, Mr Ong Ye Kung, and Senior Minister of State, Mr Desmond Tan.
Mr Low Jin Phang, President of Digital Systems at ST Engineering, stated, "ST Engineering has consistently embraced AI as a core component of our product development strategy, evolving and adopting new technologies to enhance our offerings. Our AI-driven applications address some of the most pressing challenges of our time – from countering cybercrime to optimising emergency response and improving hospital operations."
He added, "By integrating AI with our existing technologies, we've unlocked new possibilities, delivering highly effective solutions that enhance decision-making, boost operational efficiency and create real value for businesses, governments, and individuals."
ST Engineering's AI-powered solutions, such as Merlin, Einstein.AI, AGIL Response, and AGIL Care, offer advanced real-time analytics, tailored insights, and automation to address complex challenges in sectors where precision and speed are crucial.
Further spotlighting innovation, ST Engineering introduced its 5G System-on-Chip (SoC) Small Cell, which leverages AI for intelligent network management and dynamic load balancing, integrating both 5G and Wi-Fi 7 technologies. This development marks a first in the industry.
Strategic collaborations were also a central feature of the conference. ST Engineering announced partnerships with Philips to synergise digital health solutions aimed at transforming care delivery models and optimising hospital resources. Additionally, a memorandum of understanding was signed with Toshiba and SpeQtral to deliver quantum-safe solutions for critical sectors.
The Group also revealed an expansion of R&D collaborations focusing on AI with Singapore universities and A*STAR through its Research Translation @ ST Engineering platform. Sixteen new projects were launched, focusing on green computing, energy-efficient large language models, and multimodal deepfake detection.
