Sectigo launches SiteLock 2.0 to enhance SMB security

Today

Sectigo has introduced SiteLock 2.0, an upgraded version of its website security platform aimed at small to medium-sized businesses (SMBs).

The new version, SiteLock 2.0, is crafted to simplify the complex process of website protection for SMBs, many of which face challenges due to limited budgets and technical expertise. Central to this overhaul is the 'Site Health' feature, which provides users with an actionable overview of their website's security status. This enables SMBs to maintain a proactive and secure digital presence.

The value of the website security market was recorded at USD $227 million in 2023, with projections to reach USD $408 million by 2030. Despite the market's growth, these businesses often face obstacles in safeguarding their online assets, making SiteLock 2.0's simplified management system a timely development.

Christopher Bray, Senior Vice President of Worldwide Partner and eCommerce Sales at Sectigo, stated, "Website owners often struggle to get a clear, real-time understanding of their security posture across multiple tools, vulnerabilities and potential risks. Sectigo is committed to empowering customers of all technical backgrounds to effortlessly implement, manage and understand robust website security without sacrificing user experience. With the launch of SiteLock 2.0, we're not just updating a product; we're transforming and simplifying how SMBs manage website security in an environment that is getting more complex."

The 'Site Health' feature offers more than the conventional vulnerability scanning by amalgamating multiple security checks and metrics into a single, straightforward score reflecting a site's overall security. This dynamic score adjusts in real-time based on the site's existing configurations and the specific products used, thereby ensuring access to the latest information on site security.

Additional features of SiteLock 2.0 include a redesigned dashboard, which prioritises key actions and provides a more organised and intuitive user experience. Moreover, it includes a 'Prioritized Security Action Queue,' which lists essential security tasks by urgency to easily address critical issues. A unified security scanning mechanism allows all core scans to be conducted from one central hub, thus simplifying monitoring and configuration processes. The platform's setup process has also been streamlined, reducing the steps required to secure a site by 75%.

SiteLock 2.0 is available immediately to both new and existing customers, marking a significant step forward in Sectigo's ongoing efforts to support SMBs with effective website security solutions.
