Saviynt names Alex Lei to lead APJ identity security sales

Wed, 18th Mar 2026

Saviynt has appointed Alex Lei as Senior Vice President of Sales for Asia Pacific and Japan, based in Singapore and responsible for the company's regional sales organisation.

The appointment comes as more organisations across the region increase spending on identity security as part of broader cyber security and technology modernisation programmes. Investment has risen as cloud migrations expand and artificial intelligence is embedded more widely in business systems.

Lei will lead customer acquisition across the region and oversee partner strategy and go-to-market execution. His remit also includes expanding Saviynt's footprint and deepening engagement with large organisations reviewing identity and access controls as they update their security architectures.

Regional focus

Identity security is playing a larger role in board-level security discussions across the region. Organisations are relying on more cloud services and third-party connections, while deploying greater automation and software that acts on behalf of users. As a result, identity data and access policies have become central to many security programmes.

Saviynt sells identity governance and access management software. Its platform manages and governs access to applications, data, and business processes, and is positioned around an identity-first security approach that puts identity controls at the centre of protecting systems and information.

Chief Revenue Officer Todd Rotger said Asia Pacific and Japan has become a growth market for identity security as organisations modernise and adopt AI more widely.

"APJ is one of the fastest-growing regions for identity security as organisations modernise their digital infrastructure and adopt AI at scale," said Todd Rotger, Chief Revenue Officer, Saviynt.

He also highlighted Lei's experience building sales teams in the region.

"Alex has deep regional experience and a strong track record of building high-performing enterprise sales teams. His leadership will help us expand our presence and support customers navigating complex identity challenges," said Rotger.

Lei described identity as a foundational layer for security and digital change programmes, linking its importance to the growth of AI-based systems and software agents.

"I am excited to join Saviynt at a time when organisations are rethinking how identity underpins security and digital transformation," said Alex Lei, Senior Vice President of Sales for Asia Pacific and Japan, Saviynt.
"We are at the nexus of the digital revolution, where digital identity, identity security, and AI agents are becoming fundamental to enterprise resilience. Saviynt's platform and vision position us strongly to support organisations across the fast-growing APJ market," said Lei.

Sales remit

In the role, Lei will work across direct enterprise sales and channel relationships. Partner ecosystems remain a central route to market for many security vendors in Asia Pacific and Japan, where systems integrators and managed security providers often lead deployments and ongoing operations.

Large organisations across the region are also re-examining identity governance as they expand the number of applications they run and the volume of data they store in cloud environments. Security teams are tightening controls around privileged access and seeking better visibility into who can access which systems, including external contractors and suppliers.

Saviynt's positioning also includes AI capabilities in its identity platform. The company says its software manages access to applications and business processes across an organisation and is designed for environments where AI is being adopted as part of business workflows.

Career background

Lei joins from Ivanti, where he served as Senior Vice President of Sales for Asia Pacific and Japan, responsible for regional sales growth and enterprise adoption of security and IT products.

He previously held senior leadership roles at Proofpoint and Dell EMC, working with large organisations in the region on cyber security and digital infrastructure programmes.

The appointment adds an experienced sales leader to Saviynt's Asia Pacific and Japan leadership team as identity governance and access controls move higher on enterprise security roadmaps. Lei will lead the regional sales strategy as organisations increase investment in identity security alongside cloud adoption and AI initiatives.
