Red Alpha wins award for workforce transformation efforts

Yesterday

Red Alpha Cybersecurity has been honoured with the SGTech Workforce Transformation Award (Information and Communications) for its efforts in developing a future-ready cybersecurity workforce in Singapore.

The award, presented by Senior Minister of State for Manpower Zaqy Mohamad, SGTech Chair Nicholas Lee, and Workforce Singapore Chief Executive Dilys Boey, highlights Red Alpha's initiatives in equipping local professionals with the skills needed to address contemporary cybersecurity challenges.

The workforce transformation accolade recognises the company's commitment to innovatively training the local technology workforce through strategic partnerships, skills-first hiring practices, and upskilling of mid-career professionals often new to the sector.

"We are building careers and solving real industry pain points and not just teaching cyber skills," stated Dean Gefen, Founder and Group CEO of Red Alpha Cybersecurity. "This award validates our mission and commitment to close Singapore's cyber talent gap. We equip Singaporeans with the essential cybersecurity skills government organisations and businesses need to thrive in our increasingly digital world, ensuring our trainees are both job-ready and future-ready from day one."

Red Alpha's specialised bootcamp model is tailored to meet real-world cybersecurity demands, developed in collaboration with industry partners. The program has a rigorous selection process, admitting only the top 1% of applicants. These selected candidates participate in 4-6 months of intensive training that provides them with industry-recognised certifications and real-world experience through enterprise collaborations.

The company's efforts extend beyond basic training, focusing on continuous upskilling, mentoring, and deploying cybersecurity professionals who are crucial to workforce transformation both in Singapore and abroad.

SGTech Executive Director, Yean Cheong, noted, "We are pleased to celebrate the outstanding companies driving meaningful impact in their respective industries through our inaugural SGTech Impact Awards. Beyond recognition, these awards serve as a catalyst to inspire more organisations to embrace innovation and contribute to a future-ready, digitally empowered, and sustainable economy – aligning with SGTech's vision."

"Red Alpha Cybersecurity's win in Workforce Transformation exemplifies this commitment, showcasing how organisations can drive inclusive talent development through upskilling. We hope that all tech and tech-related companies will be encouraged to join SGTech and our member companies, to continue pushing boundaries, pioneering transformative solutions, and elevating the tech ecosystem."

This recognition of Red Alpha Cybersecurity highlights its significant role in addressing Singapore's cybersecurity talent shortage by supplying skilled professionals equipped to support businesses, governments, and critical infrastructures.
