Netrio launches cybersecurity services for mid-market

Netrio has launched a cybersecurity portfolio for mid-market organisations, with eight managed services spanning monitoring, protection, compliance and advisory work.
The portfolio is available to commercial, public sector and regulated customers, including government-compliant versions.
The services are aimed at companies facing large-enterprise cyber threats without the same internal resources. Netrio cited security staffing shortages, pressure on IT budgets and the use of multiple tools that can create gaps in visibility and response.
The package includes Security Operations Centre as a Service, Threat & Vulnerability Management as a Service, Endpoint Protection as a Service, Identity & Access Management as a Service, Third-Party Risk Management as a Service, Penetration Testing as a Service, Compliance as a Service and Cybersecurity Consulting.
The Security Operations Centre service provides round-the-clock monitoring, alert triage and remediation support through Netrio's security operations team. The company said the model combines analyst oversight with AI-based insights and offers support across the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia-Pacific.
Other services cover continuous vulnerability identification, managed endpoint security, identity governance and vendor risk monitoring. The portfolio also includes penetration testing, compliance support based on NIST or ISO frameworks, and advisory work on policy design, incident readiness and tabletop exercises.
Mid-market focus
The launch reflects a wider push by service providers to package cybersecurity as a managed service for medium-sized organisations that may not have large in-house security teams. In this segment, companies often buy tools designed for much larger businesses but struggle to manage them fully or integrate them into day-to-day operations.
Netrio said its approach is intended to reduce the need for customers to coordinate between separate IT and cybersecurity suppliers. Because the company provides both managed IT and cybersecurity services, it said that overlap can shorten the path from detection to response.
“Cybersecurity shouldn't be a luxury available only to large enterprises with dedicated security teams and seven-figure IT budgets, and that's why we built a new cybersecurity portfolio that provides enterprise-level security tailored to mid-market organizations' unique needs,” said Kevin Charest, Chief Information Security Officer and Vice President of Cyber Governance Services at Netrio.
“What really differentiates the portfolio is the integration it provides. Because our cybersecurity and managed IT teams are integrated rather than separate vendors, we eliminate the handoffs that slow detection and resolution, so our response time is measurably faster than it would be for a customer stuck coordinating between two providers who don't always share information quickly,” Charest said.
Market shift
Industry analysts have been tracking a move away from security products sold mainly as standalone software and towards service models more closely tied to ongoing operations and risk management. The trend has been especially visible among smaller and mid-sized organisations looking to simplify procurement and staffing.
Andrew Braunberg, Principal Analyst at Omdia, said the mid-market has often been poorly served by suppliers that expect customers to deploy and manage complex enterprise tools on their own.
“The mid-market has long been underserved by cybersecurity vendors, often left to deploy enterprise security tooling that organizations of this size struggle to fully realize value from,” Braunberg said.
“A shift is underway toward services measured by actual improvement in security posture. Portfolios that span monitoring through compliance under a single provider are well positioned as that expectation becomes more mainstream,” he added.
Netrio supports more than 1,000 customers and employs 500 people across operations in the US, Northern Ireland and India.
