Mission & CrowdStrike launch new AWS security solution

Today

Mission and CrowdStrike have announced the launch of Mission Cloud Secure, a new SaaS solution aimed at providing advanced cloud detection and response for Amazon Web Services (AWS) customers.

Mission Cloud Secure is designed to address the increasing number of cloud exploitation incidents, which have reportedly risen by 110% year-over-year. The service seeks to tackle the growing cybersecurity skills gap by offering specialised, rapid-response measures to combat cloud misconfigurations and breaches.

The new solution leverages Mission's expertise in AWS and its Mission Control platform, alongside CrowdStrike's Falcon cybersecurity platform. Together, they aim to deliver enhanced security across endpoints, cloud workloads, identity, and data for AWS customers, ensuring comprehensive protection.

Mission Cloud Secure provides several key features and benefits, including 24/7 Managed Detection & Response. This aspect utilises CrowdStrike Falcon Complete to offer AWS customers rapid threat detection and remediation services across all enterprise risk areas. Customers are supported by a round-the-clock security team and benefit from CrowdStrike's breach prevention warranty.

The solution also includes proactive threat hunting, which is facilitated through the AI-native Falcon platform and CrowdStrike's team of expert analysts. This allows organisations to detect and neutralise sophisticated attacks in real time, helping to prevent compromises within cloud environments.

Cloud-native security is another feature of Mission Cloud Secure, designed to seamlessly protect both AWS services and endpoint devices in distributed, cloud-native environments.

The solution also aids customers in achieving compliance readiness. It provides tools to assist in meeting significant compliance frameworks such as PCI, HIPAA, and SOC 2, offering audit readiness and unified reporting for more efficient compliance management.

Ted Stuart, President and Chief Operating Officer of Mission, commented on the launch: "At Mission, security is a cornerstone of everything we do, and we are proud to have been named the AWS SI Partner of the Year for Security in 2023. Mission Cloud Secure reflects our commitment to protecting businesses building on AWS with 24/7 defence, combining AWS best practices and CrowdStrike's industry-leading cloud security. Our customers can innovate confidently, knowing they're backed by a powerful partnership."

Daniel Bernard, Chief Business Officer at CrowdStrike, also remarked: "Mission Cloud Secure empowers AWS customers with a unified solution that integrates CrowdStrike's cutting-edge Falcon Cloud Security suite and managed threat detection and response (MDR) with Mission's cloud expertise. Together, we provide unmatched cloud protection, enabling businesses to focus on growth and innovation while staying secure in the face of evolving threats."

Scott Burklund, Co-founder and Chief Information Officer at Preverity, endorsed the collaboration by stating: "Mission's AWS expertise, combined with their immediate implementation of security measures, made them the right choice for us. The alternatives would have delayed our ability to protect customer data, and we couldn't afford to wait."
