Lenovo & SentinelOne team up to boost global PC security

SentinelOne and Lenovo have announced a multi-year partnership aimed at enhancing the security of millions of Lenovo devices worldwide.

The deal involves the integration of SentinelOne's Singularity Platform and generative AI capabilities, known as Purple AI, into new Lenovo PC shipments. Additionally, existing Lenovo customers will have the option to upgrade and expand their ThinkShield security portfolio, aimed at providing autonomous protection from contemporary cyber threats.

Highlighting the importance of adaptive defence mechanisms, Nima Baiati, Executive Director and General Manager, Cybersecurity Solutions, Intelligent Devices Group at Lenovo, commented, "The complexity and speed of today's cyberthreats demand an intelligent, adaptable defense. Lenovo, a leading enterprise PC vendor, sells tens of millions of devices each year. This new strategic agreement is expected to significantly increase the number of Lenovo devices that incorporate SentinelOne's AI-powered security systems. This will be facilitated by Lenovo's extensive global sales and partner network, enabling their direct sales team and channel partners to provide advanced, built-in security to businesses of all scales.

Patricia Wilkey, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Lenovo Solutions and Services Group International Sales, underscored the importance of cyber resilience in the current climate. As part of the partnership, Lenovo will also introduce a new Managed Detection and Response (MDR) service. This service will harness AI and Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) capabilities from SentinelOne's Singularity Platform.
