Lenovo announces new hybrid cloud advisory services for AI
Lenovo has announced a new suite of Hybrid Cloud Advisory Services aimed at helping enterprises streamline the design and implementation of hybrid cloud systems. These services are designed to simplify the complexity of cloud transformation and accelerate time to value, particularly in the context of AI-related workloads.
According to Lenovo's recent global CIO report, 82% of respondents view cloud transformation as difficult. In response to these challenges, Lenovo's new services will offer tailored guidance to enhance AI performance, cost efficiency, and scalability. The new suite of services will be available starting from September.
Lenovo is leveraging four decades of experience helping global CIOs ease cloud and hybrid cloud challenges. Dale Aultman, Vice President and General Manager of Hybrid Cloud Services at Lenovo Group, commented on this development.
He said, "We introduced Lenovo Hybrid Cloud Advisory Services to simplify cloud design strategies and pave the way for AI implementations. We bring a global team of trusted experts to help our customers develop future-proofed, tailor-made solutions to rapidly modernise hybrid clouds and ultimately deliver better business outcomes."
Many organisations need to modernise or update their hybrid clouds due to changing business needs, rising costs, or performance issues. Lenovo's third annual global CIO report also highlighted that 29% of respondents consider cloud transformation a top priority, behind AI implementation, cybersecurity, and data privacy. The demand for data centre capacity continues to grow, accelerated by increasing interest in AI.
This demand creates further challenges in terms of skilled staff, procuring equipment, forecasting future requirements, and energy efficiency. Additionally, changing licensing models are creating disruption, requiring IT leaders to lean on specialised partners.
Steven Dickens from Futurum Group commented, "Successful hybrid cloud strategy and design is imperative for enterprises, yet the underlying complexity involved cannot be understated. According to our research, hybrid is twice the size of public cloud when it comes to deployment modalities for AI, therefore the need for flexibility and future-proofing becomes critical. Partnering with experts, such as Lenovo, will be the smart path forward for many enterprises."
Lenovo's Hybrid Cloud Advisory Services offer customised, strategic expertise and a trusted partnership to manage the complexity of hybrid cloud design. The company's expert consultants are positioned to turn hybrid cloud visions into reality through comprehensive assessments, proven methodologies, and strategic advice. Lenovo's technology-agnostic expertise, extensive industry alliances, pre-validated solutions, and vast experience in hybrid cloud creation aim to deliver clear value to organisations seeking to future-proof their operations.
The new Hybrid Cloud Advisory Services are designed to provide several customer benefits, including faster time to value, holistic cloud, software, and infrastructure expertise from a single provider, and end-to-end engineering quality. Lenovo's global presence further enhances the breadth of these offerings, which are now available and will be launched in the channel starting in September 2024.
