A significant development in the European cybersecurity landscape was announced this week with the merger of German firm Hornetsecurity and French leader in email cybersecurity, Vade. This partnership stands to bolster Europe's cybersecurity portfolio, posed to provide unparalleled security offerings for customers, particularly those interested in protecting their data sovereignty.
Hanover’s Hornetsecurity is a well-regarded provider of cloud security and compliance solutions, particularly notable for its services securing Microsoft 365. Vade, based in Hem, France, analyses over 2.5 billion messages daily and has gained recognition for its high efficacy, SaaS-based email security offering for Microsoft 365. The merger will lead to a fuller product offering and strengthen their position as indispensable providers of cloud-based cybersecurity services globally.

The deal aligns with Hornetsecurity’s expansion strategy and aim to establish itself as a leading international cloud security and compliance software champion, backed by three leading software and growth investment firms: PSG Equity, TA Associates, and Verdane.
