Hackuity achieves SOC 2 Type II compliance for data security
Wed, 21st Feb 2024

Hackuity, the risk-based vulnerability management (RBVM) company, has successfully achieved SOC 2 Type II compliance, adhering to the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) exceptional regulations for SOC for Service Organisations. The award reflects a high data security and compliance standard upheld by Hackuity, thereby providing an assurance of enterprise-grade security to customers entrusting their data with the platform.

The SOC II regulations have been designed to ensure rigorous standards of security, availability, integrity in processing and confidentiality. These stringent requirements provide an independent validation of data security measures maintained by service providers. Prescient Assurance, a global authority in security and compliance for B2B and SAAS companies, conducted the audit for Hackuity's compliance.

This latest accreditation comes during a defining phase for Hackuity, which has seen consistent, significant revenue growth over the past three years. The company is also rapidly expanding its international footprint, attracting new clients from across the United Kingdom, the European Union, and the Asia-Pacific region. Alongside this growth, Hackuity introduced a significant platform update last year, offering customers a more accurate insight into potential risks through its proprietary True Risk Score feature.

Recently, the company unveiled WatchBot, a new feature dedicated to automating the process of identifying Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVEs). The WatchBot facilitates security teams in overseeing and managing an increasingly high number of vulnerabilities that could impact their organisations adversely.

Patrick Ragaru, CEO of Hackuity, expressed pride in the company's achievement, emphasising its commitment to revolutionising security vulnerability management for organisations. Ragaru said, "Our aim is to empower organisations by transforming how they manage security vulnerabilities, giving them a context-rich view of risks based on their unique IT environment. As we continue to innovate and develop our platform to meet these needs, we are extremely proud that Hackuity has been recognised for its ongoing commitment to managing and securing clients' sensitive data."

Ragaru added, "Product excellence has always been at the heart of what we do, and this certification provides our customers and partners with the assurance that our platform meets the highest industry standards for security, data integrity and availability." He expressed his delight at the international recognition of the company's dedicated measures in managing and safeguarding clients' crucial data.

Hackuity has garnered significant recognition and accolades within the cybersecurity industry, solidifying its position as a leader in innovative solutions. Notable achievements include winning PwC Luxembourg's Cybersecurity & Privacy Solution of the Year, People's Choice Award in 2023, receiving the prestigious EIC Seal of Excellence from the European Innovation Counsel and being featured on Wavestone's 2023 French Cybersecurity Scaleups Radar. Additionally, Hackuity's membership in Campus Cyber and victories in esteemed competitions such as the Government-led Grand Défi, Assises Innovation Award, FIC Startup Jury Award, and BPI Innovation Competition Award underscore its continued excellence and contribution to advancing cybersecurity technology.

Hackuity builds on its foundational mission to revolutionise Risk-Based Vulnerability Management (RBVM), fostering a secure digital environment for business operations around the globe. The SOC 2 Type II certification strengthens its market position as a trusted tool for organisations seeking to secure their digital landscapes while enabling faster remediation of genuine threats.
