Gallagher Security honoured at 25th annual Intersec event in Dubai
Gallagher Security has been acknowledged with the award for 'Exceptional Contribution to Intersec' at the 25th annually staged Intersec event that took place at the Dubai World Trade Centre from the 16th to 18th January 2024.
The Intersec event, renowned as the expert business platform for safety, security, and fire protection, witnessed a staggering congregation of 45,000 security professionals hailing from around the globe. This year's occasion realised an unprecedented 30% increase in product offerings, which amounted to more than 1,100 exhibitors showcasing their latest innovations.
Gallagher Security's General Manager for India, Middle East, and Africa (IMEA), Ian Meadows, remarked on how crucial the function was to engage with professionals in the industry. "Intersec 2024 was another exceptional event and a great opportunity for the security industry to come together, connect, share ideas, and network. We enjoyed meeting with a large number of people who attended the Gallagher stand and were proud to receive the award for 'Exceptional Contribution to Intersec'."
Meadows further emphasised the sophisticated pace at which the industry is evolving, necessitating the need for similar platforms for sharing insights, data, and experiences. He stated, "These events are pivotal to the growth and development of the industry and serve as valuable engagement sessions among industry professionals, partners, and customers. The security industry evolves at a rapid pace, so the coming together and sharing of ideas, industry data, and experience is extremely valuable."
The Gallagher Middle East team showcased several of their leading-edge security solutions to the crowd of visitors. Notable presentations included the Controller 7000 (C7000) (launched in November 2023), the latest version of Command Centre v9, and the Gallagher Security Industry Trends Report (released in December 2023).
Speaking about the visitor's response, Gallagher Security Middle East's General Manager, Sharbil Khalil, said, "We had visitors from different government sectors and private organisations, as well as Consultants, End Users, existing Channel Partners, and a number of new companies."
"Visitors were happy to see major business partners of Gallagher on our stand, where there were actual demonstrations, including the Gallagher Perimeter Detection System, which had a good impact on visitors due to its size, at almost three metres high," said Khalil.
The three-day occasion was given additional heft with the presence of the Thought Leadership Pavilion. This pivotal platform facilitated discussions on current and emerging trends and products within the industry. Eminent industry influencer and founder of the Access Control Executive Brief, Lee Odess, headed the pavilion, creating a networking hub among attendees during the event.
The 2024 event set the record as the largest to date, representing its 25th anniversary; all exhibitor spaces were sold out. The event programming included a Security Leaders Summit, a Safety and Health conference, a Cyber conference, a Live Attack Zone, a Safety Walk, an Innovators Arena, and a Hack Arena.
