FireMon hires ex-Skybox leaders to boost global expansion

FireMon has announced the appointment of four former Skybox Security sales leaders as part of its strategy to drive expansion across EMEA, APAC, and North America.

The new additions, Alessio Fasano (Southern EMEA), Morris Becker (DACH), Veera Subramanian (Southeast Asia), and Brian Matzke (New York), collectively bring extensive experience in cybersecurity and regional markets. FireMon stated that their recruitment supports continued growth and aims to strengthen its position in network security policy management.

Alessio Fasano, who previously served as Country Manager for Italy, Greece, Cyprus, and Malta at Skybox Security, joins FireMon as its most successful sales executive from Skybox. Fasano has a background as a technical leader and entrepreneur, with decades of experience overseeing teams, building channel partnerships, and delivering measurable results under pressure. He was previously Group Chief Security Officer at Retelit, where he developed a close understanding of customer requirements in cybersecurity.

Morris Becker, who is based in Germany, moves to FireMon after helping to grow Skybox's business in Central Europe. Renowned for his consultative approach and in-depth knowledge of the DACH (Germany, Austria, and Switzerland) market, Becker is expected to be integral to FireMon's plans in the region.

Veera Subramanian, who will manage FireMon's strategic accounts in Southeast Asia and Australia, formerly worked as Regional Sales Director for ASEAN and Hong Kong at Skybox Security. Subramanian has more than two decades of experience establishing and scaling sales operations across the APAC region. He is the founder of Vincere CyberTech and has held leadership roles at firms including F5 and Picus Security, focusing on helping organisations bolster their security through analytics and automation.

Brian Matzke joins FireMon's North American team as Strategic Account Executive for the New York City territory. At Skybox, Matzke contributed to enterprise sales across the Northeast and brings more than 30 years of technology sales experience, with the last 15 years concentrated in cybersecurity. His background includes positions at Radware, Tenable, and IntSights.

The arrival of these new hires follows the closure of Skybox Security, which FireMon says has led to a notable increase in interest from cybersecurity professionals. The company highlighted that these latest appointments form part of a wider series of moves designed to expand its reach and responsiveness in international markets, while maintaining support for its enterprise clients through its security policy management platform.

FireMon now operates in over 70 countries and serves more than 1,700 customers worldwide. The company's product portfolio includes services for hybrid cloud security, automation, and risk reduction, targeting continuous compliance and intelligent policy governance for large organisations.
