CyberArk's browser achieves SOC 2 Type 2 compliance

Yesterday

CyberArk Secure Browser has achieved SOC 2 Type 2 compliance, signifying its adherence to stringent security standards for protecting customer data.

CyberArk, known for its focus on identity security, has announced that its CyberArk Secure Browser is now SOC 2 Type 2 compliant. This certification attests to the company's effective controls and processes designed to safeguard customer data. The secure browser is devised to cater to distributed workforces and unmanaged endpoints, ensuring each user gains secure access to applications while enabling organisations to establish intelligent privilege controls on access points and user sessions.

The SOC 2 Type 2 certification is based on the Trust Services Principles set by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). This endorsement further reinforces the security measures implemented by CyberArk to protect user data against pre- and post-authentication threats such as cookie theft and session takeovers, all while delivering a seamless user experience.

CyberArk Secure Browser offers organisations the capacity to lower the risk of unauthorised access. It addresses threats stemming from compromised identities and web sessions, providing solutions from the login phase and beyond. The browser acts as a centralised and secure launchpad to various resources and applications, regardless of them being on-premises or SaaS-based, and covers both managed and unmanaged endpoints across enterprises.

Peretz Regev, Chief Product Officer at CyberArk, stated, "CyberArk Secure Browser is key for CyberArk customers looking to protect sensitive enterprise data throughout the entire user journey and access lifecycle, at the point of login and beyond. It is vital in reducing risk from SaaS and cloud infrastructure access, where the browser is the only gateway." He added that "SOC 2 Type 2 compliance reflects our unwavering focus on delivering secure, scalable and efficient identity-centric solutions for modern infrastructures."
