Check Point named leader in GigaOm’s AI-powered firewall report

Today

Check Point Software Technologies has been named as a Leader and the only Outperformer in GigaOm's latest Radar for Enterprise Firewall report for its Quantum Security Solutions.

GigaOm evaluated 14 vendors in its recent assessment of enterprise firewall solutions, identifying top performers according to a range of criteria including innovation, performance, management automation, and use of artificial intelligence.

According to GigaOm, Check Point's recognition as a top performer follows from "its consistent rollout of new innovations features, high performance, threat analytics, management automation, ambitious development plan, strong focus on AI and relentless focus on security efficacy."

Check Point performed strongly in business criteria, with GigaOm awarding the highest ratings to the company for its flexibility, scalability, ease of management, and robust ecosystem.

Eyal Manor, Vice President of Product Management at Check Point Software, commented: "We are extremely proud to deliver outstanding cyber security solutions to organisations and governments worldwide with our AI-driven Infinity platform. Being acknowledged by GigaOm as a Leader and the sole outperforming provider in the Enterprise Firewall category highlights our strategic progress and commitment to advancing digital protection."

The GigaOm report, based on a market survey of enterprise firewalls, positioned Check Point at the forefront for its approach to product development and focus on performance.

Paul Stringfellow, GigaOm analyst, remarked: "Check Point is classified as an Outperformer due to its continual delivery of new features and an aggressive roadmap. With a strong focus on AI and on increasingly offloading to its hardware ASICs to improve performance, Check Point is positioned to set a strong example for the market."

GigaOm's findings come as Check Point's own 2025 Security Report documented a 44% rise in cyber-attacks, highlighting the growing need among organisations for flexible, scalable, and easily managed security solutions.

GigaOm cited Check Point's extensive partner network as a further advantage, noting its value in facilitating supply and deployment of security solutions across a range of industries.

The report highlighted several specific strengths in Check Point's offering. Under performance and throughput, the Quantum Force series was noted for boosting overall performance, expanding the number of available ports, and cutting power consumption by 50%. The Maestro hyperscale solution was also acknowledged for its ability to support up to 1,000 Gbps, helping organisations scale their security infrastructure as they grow.

On the topic of threat analytics, GigaOm pointed to Check Point's integration with its ThreatCloud AI platform, which automates threat detection and response and includes over 50 AI-powered features. These tools support the core firewall system as well as integration with Check Point's XDR platform, enabling faster identification and response to threats.

In terms of management automation, GigaOm recognised the Infinity Playblocks feature in Check Point's suite, which automates threat and risk management tasks. According to Check Point, "It includes 70 pre-configured playbooks and supports over 20 third-party integrations, all while leveraging data from its ThreatCloud AI platform to identify new risks and initiate automated actions across its security tools."

These capabilities are underpinned by what GigaOm referred to as the advantages of a hybrid mesh firewall, which contributed to Check Point's identification as the #1 AI-powered cyber security platform by another industry analyst, Miercom.
