Check Point & MyRepublic launch SME email security

Wed, 8th Apr 2026

Check Point Software and MyRepublic have launched an email security service for small and medium-sized businesses in Singapore, aimed at companies using Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace.

Called MyRepublic Email Guard, the product combines Check Point's email security technology with setup, management and support from MyRepublic. It is designed for smaller businesses that do not have dedicated cyber security staff.

The launch comes as phishing remains a growing threat to businesses in Singapore. The Singapore Cyber Landscape 2024/2025 report, cited by the companies, found that phishing attacks in the country rose 49% in 2024, with 12% involving AI-generated content.

Email remains a common route for social engineering attacks, including business email compromise, in which fraudsters impersonate trusted contacts to trick staff into making payments or disclosing data. The managed service is designed to sit in front of existing cloud email systems and screen messages before they reach users.

SME focus

The companies are targeting a segment of the market that often struggles to buy and run security tools on its own. Smaller firms may face shortages of specialist staff, limited technical resources and cost constraints.

The package includes professional setup, configuration, administration and ongoing management, as well as reporting and a security assessment during onboarding.

Check Point's technology is used to detect phishing attempts, identity spoofing and malicious attachments. The service uses an API-based approach to integrate with Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace without changing existing workflows.

The rollout also aligns with broader attention on baseline cyber hygiene in Singapore, where the Cyber Security Agency has been urging organisations to strengthen basic controls under its Cyber Essentials framework.

Rebecca Law, Country Manager, Singapore at Check Point Software Technologies, said the partnership is intended to make the company's email protection available to smaller firms through a managed model. "Email remains the primary entry point for cyberattacks," Law said. "Our partnership with MyRepublic ensures SMEs in Singapore have access to the same prevention-first, AI-powered security that protects the world's largest enterprises and smaller organisations."

For MyRepublic, the launch expands its offering to business customers beyond connectivity into managed cyber security services. Telecoms providers in the region have increasingly added security products as business customers seek bundled services from existing suppliers.

Lawrence Chan, Managing Director & Chief AI Officer at MyRepublic, said email threats had become a core business risk for smaller companies. "In today's digital economy, robust cybersecurity is a baseline requirement for business continuity," Chan said. "Check Point is a leader in email security, blocking over 99.8% of threats. With this collaboration, we are democratising world-class protection, ensuring Singapore's SMEs can defend themselves against AI-driven threats without the enterprise-level price tag or the need for an in-house 24/7 security operations centre (SOC)."

Check Point says it protects more than 100,000 organisations globally, while MyRepublic has built its business in connectivity services across several markets. In Singapore, the partnership reflects growing demand for managed security products tailored to smaller firms that want external support rather than in-house teams.

The service is available to Singapore-based SMEs, with MyRepublic providing onboarding, management and support.
