Check Point launches Quantum Force firewall series for advanced security
Tue, 27th Feb 2024

Check Point Software Technologies, a leading provider of AI-powered, cloud-delivered cyber security solutions, has announced the introduction of its Check Point Quantum Force series. This innovative lineup comprises ten high-performance firewalls meticulously crafted to surpass expectations of security in enterprise data centres, network perimeters, campuses, and businesses of all statures. The news comes as organisations contend with a pressing need for heightened network security in an era of digital and cloud transformations.

Delivered via the Check Point Infinity Platform, the Quantum Force Security Gateways employ more than 50 AI engines and an automated threat response system to offer up to 1 Tbps of AI-fuelled threat prevention. The series touts an exceptional malware-blocking rate of 99.8%. The new range sets new benchmarks with its superior performance, double threat prevention efficacy, and power efficiency. Furthermore, with the compact 1RU/2RU form factors, it offers optimisation of space while providing features for managing the strictest security scenarios.

Nataly Kremer, Chief Product Officer at Check Point Software Technologies, spoke about the new product line, stating, "Thirty years ago, Check Point created the firewall. Today, we revolutionise it with Quantum Force. This next-generation solution offers robust protection powered by collaborative AI- driven threat prevention, integrating unified security and policy management, whether in the cloud or on-premises." Kremer added that with Quantum Force, users could confidently traverse the digital landscape, shielded against advanced malware and supply chain threats, all the while benefitting from improved network performance, streamlined operations, and automated threat responses.

Ambiguities in technology, a plethora of vendors, and the scrutiny of increasingly encrypted traffic are among the numerous challenges businesses encounter while trying to secure their resources. Moreover, the hybrid workforce, a permanent fixture in most organisations today, has accelerated the need for secure and rapid networks to facilitate remote work. It is in this context that the Quantum Force series holds promise with its versatility, performance, and cost-effectiveness.

Pete Finalle, Security Research Manager at IDC, commented on the new product line: "Given the shortage of IT security talent, enterprises should consider AI enhanced solutions to empower analytics and automation and protect against the growing threat landscape. Check Point's new Quantum Force series of ten AI-powered and cloud delivered security gateways provide up to 1 Tbps of threat prevention performance, automated blocking of sophisticated threats, while unifying management, simplifying operations, reducing time to response and improving security efficacy."

Check Point's Quantum Force Firewalls are designed to simplify technology infrastructure and reduce power and operational expenses while enhancing network performance. The capabilities also ensure secure, automated, and real-time global threat intelligence. Furthermore, data centres can streamline these operations across their on-premises, cloud, and FWaaS (Firewall-as-a-Service) environments.

The Check Point Quantum Force Security Gateway series is now available through its global partner network. As cyber threats assume more sophisticated forms, technologies like Quantum Force that harness the potential of AI for robust protection are expected to be on the frontline of defence in the enterprise security battlefields.
