AI-enhanced security tools unveiled by Check Point Software
Check Point Software Technologies has announced new AI-powered security enhancements as part of its efforts to address the rising challenges posed by sophisticated cyberattacks in the Asia-Pacific region.
The company highlighted that organisations in the region have been experiencing high volumes of attacks, driven by ransomware, hacktivism, and AI-driven cybercrime. Based on Check Point's Threat Intelligence data, organisations in APAC faced an average of 2,915 attacks per week in recent months, as opposed to a global average of 1,843 attacks per week.
Significant trends observed in the region include an increase in phishing scams, with 52% of malicious files delivered through web-based attacks in the past month. Ransomware incidents have also seen a notable rise in APAC, accounting for 6.3% of all cyber incidents compared to a global rate of 4%.
The education and research sectors in APAC are particularly targeted, experiencing 7,372 weekly attacks per organisation, significantly higher than the global rate of 4,127. Similarly, the healthcare sector sees 5,225 weekly attacks per organisation in the region, compared to 2,441 globally, while the government and military sectors face 4,834 weekly attacks, compared to a global average of 2,593.
"We are entering a new era where AI is both the greatest threat and the most powerful defence," stated Nadav Zafrir, CEO of Check Point Software. "Cybercriminals are leveraging AI to scale attacks—so we're embedding AI across our security framework to deliver prevention-first protection. Our goal is to keep businesses secure today while preparing them for the threats of tomorrow."
At the event, Check Point unveiled several AI-driven security innovations designed to bolster its cyber defence offerings. These include the Infinity AI Copilot, a context-aware assistant that streamlines security administration, Infinity Playblocks that enable automated security actions through natural language AI automation, and new Infinity Identity capabilities for consistent zero trust access controls.
"Security leaders are facing a perfect storm—rising threats, complex environments, and a critical talent shortage," said Nataly Kremer, Chief Product Officer at Check Point Software. "The Infinity AI Bundle simplifies operations while strengthening proactive threat prevention, ensuring unified security management across enterprises."
Check Point's Infinity Platform was also recognised for its excellent performance in Miercom's 2025 benchmark, achieving a 99.9% malware block rate. Additionally, its firewall performance reported the lowest risk with a record one known exploited vulnerability, setting it apart from competitors.
"Security is built on trust," commented Gil Shwed, Founder and Chairman of Check Point Software. "With over three decades of industry leadership, Check Point Infinity—the Real Security Platform—is the gold standard for AI-powered protection, giving businesses confidence in an evolving cyber landscape."
The company also addressed the broader challenges faced by organisations due to the increasing complexity of security tools and the surge in cyberattacks, which have risen by 44% year-over-year. Check Point's hybrid mesh security model, powered by Infinity AI, aims to deliver unified security policies and proactive threat prevention alongside AI-driven automation for Zero Trust enforcement.
"In today's hyperconnected world, AI-driven threats demand an AI-powered defence," remarked Ruma Balasubramanian, President of APAC & Japan. "Check Point Infinity is the Real Security Platform—built for AI, powered by AI—offering best-in-class threat prevention, unified security management, and real-time collaborative intelligence. As we move towards Autonomous Zero Trust, Check Point remains at the forefront of prevention-first security, ensuring businesses stay resilient, secure, and future-ready."
