Zscaler has hired Sean Kopelke as the new Country Manager for Australia and New Zealand.

The new appointment further strengthens the security cloud company's regional momentum as Zscaler revolutionizes internet security with the industry's first Security-as-a-Service platform.

“Security has never been more critical for organisations and we welcome Sean's insight and leadership in providing clarity and support to our customers and partners,” says Scott Robertson, vice president, Asia Pacific and Japan at Zscaler.

Kopelke joins Zscaler with over 20 years' experience and will be responsible for overseeing Zscaler's business expansion in Australia and New Zealand.

Throughout his career in the industry, Kopelke has held a number of senior sales and technical management positions, including responsibility for new business development across the Asia Pacific region.

Kopelke's most recent role was at FireEye where he was director of Global Service Providers - Managed Security Service Providers for Asia Pacific - Japan.

In this position, he was responsible for leading a team of global account managers to develop partnerships with the region's managed service providers, integrators and global and regional telecommunications companies.

Prior to that, Kopelke held several senior management roles at Symantec for ten years, including as Senior Director, Sales Specialists - Technical Sales Organisation, Australia - New Zealand.

“His new business development experience across the Asia Pacific region will be invaluable in developing strategies that will successfully engage with customers and partners across the Australian and New Zealand markets,” says Robertson.

“He will play an integral role building value relationships and substantially adding to the experience, skills base and business knowledge of Zscaler's partners in the region.
