FYI, this story is more than a year old

Tenable Network Security has appointed a security industry veteran, Malcolm Rowe, as the new sales director for South Asia.

Rowe, who is based in Singapore, will oversee strategic direction, channel expansion and sales growth of the South Asia sales division at Tenable.

Gary Jackson, vice president of APAC sales at Tenable Network Security, says Rowe brings exceptional leadership skills and is well versed in building a partner network within Asia.

“His knowledge of the region and decades of industry experience make him a valued addition to our team,” explains Jackson.

“Malcolm's leadership will be invaluable as we continue to expand in Asia and connect customers with the best continuous monitoring and vulnerability management technology to overcome today's evolving threats.

In his new role, Rowe will drive business development throughout South Asia and optimize sales strategies.

Rowe has spent a number of years in sales leadership roles in Asia Pacific (APAC), so he understands the unique security and business needs of customers and channel partners in the region.

“As new and emerging technologies like DevOps, containers, cloud, internet of things and BYOD continue to disrupt the enterprise network, it's more important than ever that organisations have the right tools to remain secure,” says Rowe.

“I am excited to be part of a growing global company that takes these security concerns seriously and look forward to further strengthening our relationship with customers and partners in the region.

Prior to his new appointment, Rowe served as regional vice president of sales APAC at Akamai Technologies and has over 25 years of IT industry experience.

Upon moving to Singapore 20 years ago, he has held regional Asia-Pacific-Japan (APJ) sales leadership roles for a handful of IT security organizations.
