Ingram Micro signs on as distie for Menlo Security's browser isolation platform

FYI, this story is more than a year old

Ingram Micro has scored distribution rights for Menlo Security's browser isolation platform across Singapore and Thailand.

The browser isolation platform allows attacks to be blocked by isolating all internet browsing from endpoints and networks instead of trying to distinguish good content from bad content.

Stephanie Boo, Menlo Security's managing director, Asia Pacific, says the APAC region in particular boasts an increasing concentration of high-value global business activity. That very trait makes it ripe for highly-targeted spear phishing attacks.

“That is why we saw such potential for our cloud service in Singapore and Thailand, and why we chose a global broad-based IT distributor whose sales and distribution network is not only outstanding across North America, Europe, Middle East and Africa and Latin America, but is also the only comparable channel with significant Asia Pacific presence," she says.

Menlo Security's Isolation Platform is able to isolate and execute all web content, email links and documents in the cloud without extra software at the endpoint.

Ingram Micro Asia's vice president and chief executive Francis Choo says that the company has been focused on growing its cybersecurity solution portfolio. The addition of Menlo's platform to that portfolio will serve clients with an innovative solution to enterprise protection.

"We have a growing number of partners and their clients in the region who understand that almost all successful attacks originate from the Internet. They want the very best protection for their businesses, and we recognise that Menlo can offer a powerful, innovative solution."

Earlier this year the company launched its SafeToClick Asia-Pacific Partner Program for value-added resellers and system integrators.

The program provides sales support, deal registration, technical certification, partner education, marketing support, lead sharing and demo licenses.
