Fortinet targets MSSPs with new partner program
Mon, 6th Mar 2017
FYI, this story is more than a year old

Fortinet has launched a new program for managed security service providers in a move the vendor says is designed to help MSSP partners accelerate profitability, expand growth and increase leadership.

Stephen Tallent, Fortinet managed security service providers senior director, says businesses of all sizes are struggling to ensure the security of sensitive data and technology investments in the wake of an increasingly hostile threat landscape.

“These challenges are driving many organisations to seek out security service providers that have the technical expertise and advanced security offerings that can meet their unique business requirements,” Tallent says.

He says the new program reinforces the vendor's ongoing investments and ‘continued dedication' to the success of MSSP partners and the security of their customers.

The program provides advanced resources to enable existing MSSPs to expand their offerings while also providing support for resellers and systems integrators looking to enter the managed security services market.

Included is access to Fortinet's developer network which provides developer-only access for official API documentation, community developed tools, advanced scrips and ‘exclusive' how to content to enable MSSPs to automate and customise Fortinet products and solutions while reducing engineering workload.

A policy migration tool to simplify and automate migration and a bulk provisioning tool to automate the simultaneous roll out of FortiGate, FortiWiFi and FortiAP solutions in a single click are also among the services being offered.

Online, self-paced training and support for marketing, sales and technical activities, along with dedicated account management and access to Fortinet beta programs and invitation only events is also included, the vendor says.
