ForgeRock named as Leader in Gartner MQ for Access Management
Tue, 9th Nov 2021
FYI, this story is more than a year old

Gartner has named ForgeRock as a leader in the Magic Quadrant for Access Management for the second year in a row.

ForgeRock, a provider of digital identity for businesses and consumers globally, was named a Leader for its ability to focus on customer experience and developers.

ForgeRock CEO Fran Rosch says the company is honoured to be named as a leader.

“We're all managing more of our lives digitally and that shift has made identity an even bigger priority for organisations looking for an edge to keep their customers engaged and workforces productive.

According to the report, Gartner says that converged identity and access management (IAM) will combine access management, identity governance and administration (IGA) and privileged access management (PAM) in more than 70% of new deployments, “driven by more comprehensive risk mitigation requirements.

ForgeRock's platform operates as SaaS with the ForgeRock Identity Cloud, self-managed software, or a hybrid combination of both.

Rosch adds, “We believe our placement in the Leaders quadrant underscores the power and scalability of our unified and extensive platform that covers use cases for both customer identity and workforce IAM. More importantly, it highlights why enterprises trust ForgeRock to deliver secure and seamless experiences for both their customers and employees.

Last month the company announced an initial public offering (IPO) of 11 million shares of its Class A common stock for US$25 per share.

In August, the company announced the appointment of Tshudy Smith as chief people officer, as well as Twitter CISO Rinki Sethi and former CrowdStrike CMO to its board of directors.

Rosch said at the time of the appointments, “We're pleased to welcome both Rinki and Johanna to the ForgeRock Board of Directors. Their wealth of knowledge and experience in the technology sector will be invaluable as we look toward the future and evolve and improve the way people simply and safely access the connected world.

“People are at the heart of every great company. Winning as a team with the world's best talent is the heart of ForgeRock. Tschudy's reputation for creating trusted partnerships with businesses and leaders, commitment to mentorship and investing in talent is an incredible asset to ForgeRock's purpose of building a strong, diverse culture, helping our customers succeed and helping people simply and safely access the connected world.

ForgeRock's customers include BBC, Geico, Philips, Standard Chartered, Toyota, and Weight Watchers (WW). The company also works with more than 1,300 organisations worldwide.
